American University - Washington, United States

Team Description

We are a small group from American University- and our goal was to stream live video from the edge of space. Well, we got pretty rapid imagery, so maybe next time full video.

Plan for launch

We actually just recently launched and successfully tested a means to transmit live images from the payload to the ground every few seconds. We're looking to do another launch soon, perhaps with a UAV attached to the underside or some type of scientific payload.

Why did you join?

We joined because we're trying to push the boundaries of access to suborbital flight systems and research. Also because it's the edge of space. And how else will our team develop the technology to travel up there together strapped to a giant balloon.
