Team Description

We are a group of undergrads at the University of Arizona chapter of the national organization- SEDS that helps students develop their technical and leadership skills by providing opportunities to manage and participate in national projects as well as to attend conferences, publish their work, and develop their professional network, in order to help students become more effective in their present and future careers in industry, academia, government, and education.

Plan for launch

Fly a CubeSat Payload aboard a weather balloon, carrying a few science experiments ranging from Altitude Profiling to determining the radiation levels in flight using a Geiger counter and how we can minimize this radiation levels, in order to have minimum effect of these on the microelectronics and avionics instruments.

Why did you join?

We joined GSBC in order to gain a global perspective of weather ballooning and see how we stand against other global teams.
